    Events and trainings that equip, encourage and serve the men and women of our church.

  • Backpack Buddies

    Heartwood provides weekend food and other resources to families in need at a local school. This program exists in partnership with the Covington Storehouse.

  • Compassion Ministries

    Heartwood supports several compassion ministries:


    • A benevolence fund that helps provide rental, utility, food and other assistance to our neighbors in need. Contact the Heartwood Church office for an application.
    • A Compassion Closest that provided basic essentials and medical supplies to our neighbors in need. The Compassion Closet is open by appointment only, please reach out to Cheryl Rule at crules2@comcast.net.
  • ESL Classes

    These classes provide a warm, relational environment to learn English and build community. Childcare is provided for kids, from birth through 12 years old.

    September 14 - June 7 | Mondays; 6:30 PM - 8:30 PM | $25 per student (scholarships available upon request)

  • Firewood

    We collect, chop, split, and stack firewood, which is then delivered to those in need - at no cost. We welcome volunteers of all ages. You do not need to attend Heartwood Church to join!

  • Growth Groups

    We offer a variety of groups that promote belonging and spiritual formation.

  • Heartwood Kids

    Serving kids between the ages of 0-11 years old.

  • Prayer

    A culture of prayer is foundational to the life of our church. We pray for needs both inside and outside of Heartwood Church.

  • Tree of Life

    City environmental clean up and improvement projects, along with recreational activities blending around community and Jesus.

  • Marriage

    Supporting marriages through pre-marital counseling, groups and referrals.

  • Recovery

    The local Maple Valley AA Group meets at Heartwood Church on Monday nights.

  • Young Adult Group

    Our young adults meet each month to build meaningful connections, and share life together.

  • Youth

    Our 6th–8th graders partner with Greater Maple Valley YoungLife for ‘WyldLife’. WyldLife meets every other Wednesday in the Youth Building from 6:30–8:00 p.m. It’s a fun, welcoming space for middle schoolers to connect and grow.
